DR DOMINIC HASSALL- IMPLANTOLOGIST

Dominic qualified from Cardiff Dental Hospital in 1991. He has extensive experience of general and specialist pratice and the hospital / academic environment. As a Clinical Research Fellow he gained a Masters Degree from the University of Manchester in 1995 followed by the Diploma of Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow (1996).

During his post as Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Restorative Dentistry he has undertaken a dedicated training programme in restorative dentistry and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry from the General Dental Council.

He holds the Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and entry into the newly formed General Dental Council Restorative, Prosthodontic and Periodontal Specialist lists.

He has also gained the highest restorative qualification in the UK in the form of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Restorative Dentistry awarded jointly by the English and Scottish Royal Colleges of Surgeons.

Currently he is an examiner for the membership in Restorative Dentistry at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

He has gained extensive experience in rehabilitaing the failing restored dentition and surgical periodontics. He has wide experience of a number of implant systems and rehabilitation of complex maligancy and severely resorbed cases including augmentation procedures. This is complemented by having held a hospital oral and maxillo-facial surgery post.

His main clinical interests are in restoring the failing dentition, periodontology and the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implantology including bone and soft tissue augmentation procedures.

He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally and published numerous articles in the U.K and international dental literature.
